According to the national occupational definition, mold design is: personnel engaged in the digital design of enterprise molds, including cavity molds and cold stamping molds, on the basis of traditional mold design, fully applying digital design tools, improving mold design quality, and shortening mold design cycles.
Concept
The overall structure of the stamping die can be divided into two parts:
(1) Common parts.
(2) The part that varies depending on the product. Common parts can be standardized or standardized, and parts that vary by product are difficult to standardize.
Specification
1. The composition of the template
The composition of stamping dies will be divided into two categories according to the type and structure of the dies, the straight arrangement type structure and the reverse arrangement type structure. The former is the most commonly used configuration, and the latter is mainly used for stretch forming dies or to match special dies.
2. Mold Specifications
(1) Mold size and locking screw
The size of the template should be larger than the work area, and choose the standard template size. The position of the template locking screw is related to the type of mold and the size of the template. Among them, single-engineering molds are most often configured with locking screws at the four corners, and the most standard form of work area can be widely used. Long-shaped molds and continuous molds are most often configured with locking screws at the four corners and the middle.
(2) Thickness of template
The thickness of the template has an absolute relationship with the structure of the mold, the type of stamping processing, the stamping processing force, and the stamping processing accuracy. It is difficult to determine the thickness of the mold based on theoretical calculations. Generally, it is obtained from experience. The thickness of the template used in the design should be as few as possible, and the mold height and clamping height should be standardized to facilitate procurement and inventory management.
